Kathi Johnson - Board Director

Kathi B. Johnson, M.Ed., Ed.S., is a proud graduate of the Huffman High School Class of 2001 and serves on the Board of Directors of the Huffman High Alumni Association. During her time at Huffman, she distinguished herself as Valedictorian, Class President, Captain of the Lady Vikings Basketball Team, AP Aide, and an active member of numerous student organizations. Today, she is an accomplished educator, marketing professional, and community leader who is passionate about preserving Huffman High School’s legacy while creating opportunities that connect generations of Vikings.


Drawing on her background in education, business marketing, workforce development, communications, and organizational leadership, Kathi brings strategic vision and collaborative leadership to the Association. She has been instrumental in strengthening alumni engagement, developing community partnerships, and helping plan and execute major initiatives, including the Association’s 60th Anniversary celebration and Alumni Week. Her leadership has helped establish a strong foundation centered on transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.


Kathi believes every Viking has a role in shaping Huffman’s future. Through her service on the Board of Directors, she remains committed to fostering meaningful alumni connections, supporting students, and ensuring the Huffman legacy continues to thrive for generations to come. For Kathi, “Where Legends Are Made” is more than a slogan—it’s a commitment to honoring the past while building an even stronger future.

Pattie Reasor - Board Director

Patricia “Pattie” Reasor is a passionate educator, instructional leader, coach, mentor, and community advocate with more than two decades of service in Birmingham City Schools. A proud Huffman High School graduate from the Class of 1992, she returned to teach at her alma mater for more than 20 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Miles College, a Master of Education in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, and a Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law. Her career has included teaching mathematics at multiple grade levels and serving as Mathematics Department Head, mentor teacher, TEAMS instructor, and Principal Designee.


Her impact extends beyond the classroom through athletics, mentorship, and leadership development. Pattie has served as an assistant girls’ basketball coach, assistant volleyball coach, and head cheer coach, using sports to teach discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. In 2009, she founded Delta Kappa Delta High School Sorority, which has empowered hundreds of young women through scholarship, community service, sisterhood, and personal development. In 2025, she also ran for the Birmingham City Schools District 1 Board of Education, reflecting her continued commitment to students, educators, families, and public education.


A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pattie is a devoted mother, mentor, and advocate for educational excellence. Huffman High School remains especially meaningful to her as the place where she discovered her passion for education and later returned to serve generations of Vikings. She continues that commitment through her service on the Huffman High School Alumni Board, helping preserve the school’s traditions, strengthen alumni connections, and invest in future students and the broader Huffman community.

Jarvis P. Prewitt - Board Director

Jarvis P. Prewitt is a proud Birmingham native and graduate of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, where he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. As salutatorian of the Huffman High School Class of 2019, Jarvis has always believed in using his talents to uplift others.


Today, as an Engineer at Georgia Power Company, he works to help power a brighter future while staying true to his values of service and leadership. Beyond his career, Jarvis is deeply committed to giving back to the Huffman community, supporting students and fellow 2019 alumni through mentorship, scholarships, and service as a founding board member of the Huffman Alumni Association.


Guided by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy,” Jarvis continues to stand for what matters — people, purpose, and progress.

Brian J. Thomas - Board Director & Financial Officer

Brian J. Thomas is a proud Alabama native who obtained his education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he pursued his passion for Information Systems with a concentration in Cyber Security Management. A member of the Huffman High School Class of 2019, Brian has consistently combined technical expertise with a strong foundation in leadership, organization, and community engagement.


Today, Brian serves as a Director of Information Technology for an international company, where he leads infrastructure, cloud, and device management operations to drive efficiency and reliability across enterprise systems. He brings particular strengths in financial strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and operational management, aligning technology initiatives with broader business objectives.


Outside of his professional role, Brian remains deeply committed to the Huffman community — mentoring students, supporting alumni initiatives, and serving as a founding board member of the Huffman Alumni Association.
